A side event “Strengthening the Resilience to Climate Change and Drought in Sub-Saharan Africa – Toward TICAD VI” co-organized by JICA, Kenya and Senegal was held at UNCCD-COP12 in Ankara on 19th October.

The participants shared a common understanding of the necessity of the launch of a new initiative to promote collective measures for combating desertification by African countries and development partners.
