AI-CD reached its end at TICAD 8 on 24th August, 2022. This AI-CD website stopped updating information accordingly, whereas its contents are being utilized on the website of JICA’s new programme “NbS Knowledge for Africa” launched at TICAD8.
Both NbS Knowledge for Africa programme and AI-CD aim to identify and introduce the array of different experiences and knowledge co-created by Japan and Africa to help in the handling of natural resource management issues in Africa. NbS Knowledge for Africa programme puts a particular emphasis on presenting knowledge as effective approach for nature-based solutions (NbS) covering a wide range of biomes in Africa, while AI-CD’s principal focus was combating desertification in arid and semi-arid lands.
All the SNS official pages of AI-CD have been renewed as JICA’s new programme “NbS Knowledge for Africa.”
